Legal Services

The Harvard Legal Aid Bureau represents low income clients with cases in the following areas: housing, family, government benefits, and wage & hour law. Clients are represented by Harvard Law School students supervised by practicing attorneys.

In addition to full representation, Harvard Legal Aid Bureau engages in outreach projects and partnerships. Our Eviction Clinic and Pro Se Divorce Clinic provide information to individuals who represent themselves. The Bureau works with local organization to provide legal advice, support community justice initiatives, and reach clients throughout the greater Boston area. The Bureau does not handle criminal cases, bankruptcies, personal injury claims, or workers’ compensation claims. The Bureau does not generally represent students unless they are receiving TAFDC benefits. If you need assistance outside our practice areas, please see our additional resources page.
